1. Stop sleepwalking through life
It's easy to sleepwalk our way through life, programmed on the same stories that we grew up with. After the ages of 18-22, when most of us are finished with traditional schooling, it becomes more and more common to live life on a loop. Wake up, get dressed, go to work, sit in traffic, come home, eat, sleep. But we're meant for more than that. We're not meant to sedate ourselves with swipes and scrolls—we're meant to live colorful lives, with villains and lovers, victories and defeats, and everything in between. By writing about what we *specifically* want out of life, we're able to become the heroes of our own stories.
